My house is the warmest place in the world; it is an amazing place to live. My house is small and has only two bedrooms, but it is comfortable and it is the place where I feel safe and confident. In my house I can hear the voice of all my family; my mother talking with my sisters, my nephews playing, the sound of my father’s car, and my baby niece’s babbling. Every time I walk inside my home, I can see my family doing different things, for example; when my mother is cooking, when my baby niece is sleeping, and my cat when is sleeping above the TV. Outside, I can see the garden and all the plants that my mom has. Also in the backyard, I see my father’s car, this is very important for me, because if I see the car, I know my dad is at home. As my house is small, I run into a lot of smells, such as my family’s perfume, the delicious smell of food that my mother is preparing, and my baby niece’s smell. Outside of my residence, I smell the grass, and different kinds of smells that came from other parts, for example the smell from a food industry. Even though my favorite smell is wet soil, this relaxes me and connects me with nature. However the most important thing is that I have personal contact with my family, I can touch them, especially when I touch my mother’s hand, my baby niece when I hold her on my arms. Also I can touch my cat and play with her. I do not need to be in the Caribbean to feel warm. I only have to be in my home.
