Which is the parameter to establish a healthy relationship? Violence is a growing problem in relationships. Psychological surveys demonstrate that people are becoming more aggressive and violent. As a result, many relationships are based on feelings of dependence by fear.
I remember when I was in high school, I fell in love with a man that was 5 years older than me. This was a big difference between us. I was so childish for him and obviously all my friends. When we spent free time with them, he felt uncomfortable and he always decided what we had to do, for example to leave my friends out. Therefore, this situation was a big problem. We started to have arguments that through time became louder and aggressive; sometimes I even felt afraid of him. With time, my feeling about our love disappeared but a dependence stage invaded my mind. This made that our break up was a big headache because I felt guilty that our relationship didn't succeed. Luckily I could stop my relationship on time, and I did not need psychological treatment like some people that I have known.
By reading medical magazines, I could understand that aggressive conducts can be caused by mental disorders detected in different situations of daily life, as extreme jealousy and paranoia. Consequently, all these disorders affect our behaviours in the relationships; if someone shouts to you or forbids you from doing something those are exact examples of violent relationships. Therefore, it is necessary to identify these problematical situations that in some occasions have a vital importance because those problems can even lead to death. With this information, I could appreciate that respect and comprehension between couples are things that have a huge importance and if in one moment you lost respect, confidence, and love with your partner, maybe is time to finish the relationship. Nothing is more important than your physical and psychological health. Remember that you have in your hands the solution to stop those conducts and to try searching a medical advise.
